Andy Sobek

Chief Technology & Data Officer

Andy joined Astorg in 2025 and is a member of the Corporate Functions Team.

Prior to this, Andy was Head of IT at Permira, a Global Private Equity firm, for over 7 years.

Before that, he held several technology leadership roles in the Alternatives Sector including 8 years as Chief Technology Officer at NewSmith Asset Management, a multi-strategy Hedge Fund.

Andy started his career in 1994 at IBM in their EMEA PC business, before an 11-year tenure at Goldman Sachs working in their trading divisions, latterly as a Technology Consultant to Hedge Fund clients in Goldman’s Prime Brokerage division.

Andy holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of Leicester.
